The Registry Collection ® program strives to find ways to enhance the program and provide more valuable opportunities and benefits. To that end, we are pleased to announce the mid-January launch of “Extra Getaways”, a program designed to better utilize unused inventory by offering close-date accommodations at members-only pricing. Available only to our members, this benefit will not appear or be promoted outside of our member base.
Currently, a significant amount of our close-date inventory goes unused, resulting in unoccupied units at our affiliated properties. Our Inventory Management team has analyzed years of data patterns to identify specific resorts and regions that have historically fallen into this “unused” category. A subset of that inventory will be available to members to confirm as an Extra Getaways vacation at 90 days or less prior to the start date of the week. The team has reviewed pricing models to ensure that, while offering a value to members, it will not devalue the perception of the inventory at the resort level. A portion of the revenue generated through this program will allow us to purchase additional inventory in areas where we may not have affiliated properties. Pricing is determined by the size of the accommodations:

Members will continue to have the option to confirm inventory available on the Extra Getaways program with Credits. In addition, the Last Call SM Getaways program, for half of the published Credit value for the week at 29 days and less, will still be available. Inventory available for both options will be viewable under the “Availability” tab on the left navigation bar of the member website www.theregistrycollection.com
